The Leadership Council first met in February 2007 and continues to meet monthly. The Leadership Council (LC) comprises executive, judicial and legislative city leadership involved in the care of our city’s children. The LC’s membership includes: the Deputy Mayor of Health and Opportunity, Chief Education Officer, Director of the Department of Behavioral Health/Mental Retardation Services (DBH/MRS), Commissioner of the Department of Human Services (DHS), Commissioner of the Department of Recreation, Commission of the Department of Public Health, Director of the Office of Supportive Housing (OSH), Administrative Judge of Family Court, CEO of the School District of Philadelphia, and two members of City Council. The Leadership Council is chaired by Judge Dougherty, Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown and Arthur C. Evans, Jr., Ph.D.

Priorities of the Leadership Council
Based upon the direction set by the Council of Advocates, the Leadership Council has endorsed priorities for the Philadelphia Compact.
