Council of Advocates

The Council of Advocates is a broad based community stakeholder group including family members, youth, community leaders, academics, advocates, and others responsible for helping the city stay on track.

Council of Advocates’ Role

  • Setting the Direction
    • Prioritizing the work of the Philadelphia Compact
  • Monitoring
    • Ensuring the implementation of the Compact’s priorities
  • Promotion and Advocacy
    • Advancing the social and emotional well-being of all children through the Philadelphia Compact
  • Sharing Information
    • Collecting, contributing, reviewing and disseminating information that supports the work of the Philadelphia Compact
  • Leading by Example
    • Putting into action the goals and recommendations of the Philadelphia Compact within members’ own spheres and encouraging community initiatives consistent with the Compact’s vision
